Traffic changes for Sunday

PALMA council yesterday announced road closures and diversions due to a procession on Sunday April 9.
Parking will be prohibited from 2 to 10pm in Plaza Santa Magdalena, Plaza Joan Carlos I, in Jaume III to Bonaire, from Bonaire to Berenguer de Sant Joan, the area on the Paseo Mallorca between Jaime de Santa Cilia and Cerdanya, one side of the Rambla Ducs de Palma and in Bisbe Campins, amongst other roads. From 5.30pm traffic will not be allowed to pass from the Plaza de la Reina to the Born, from Jaime III to Cataluña, from Jaime III to Paseo Mallorca, from Via Portugal to the Paseo Mallorca or Via Roma, and from the Costa de la Sang to the Ramblas. Some of the EMT (blue buses) routes will be affected. Line number 1, going towards the Port, will make stops in the Avenidas Alemania and Portugal, Plaza Forti, Ramon and Cajal and Avenida Argentina. Lines 3 and 7, going towards Cas Catala and Son Rapinya will divert via the Avenidas Alemania and Portugal, Plaza Forti, Ramon and Cajal and Comte de Barcelona from where it will return to its normal route. Line 6 will only stop in the Calle Caro and Paseo Mallorca, where it will terminate. Line 15, going towards the Plaza de la Reina will go via the Avenidas Alemania and Portugal, Plaza Forti, Ramon and Cajal, Avenida Argentina, Todoro Llorente and will terminate in the Paseo Mallorca. The same line, going towards Arenal, will go via the Paseo Mallorca and the Avenidas Portugal and Alemania, where it will resume its normal route.
