THE Mardavall Hotel & Spa has won the Gala Spa Award 2003 in the Hotel with Spa category, which means that the establishment is now included in the leading hotels with spas in Europe. The Mardavall is in the Costa d'en Blanes in Calvia, just nine kilometres from Palma.
Its Altiraspa, the first of its kind - opening the Arabellasheraton's new wellbeing brand - has indoor and outdoor pools, a Turkish spa, ice grotto and Finnish sauna. It also offers a wide range of natural medicines and holistic therapies, including traditional Chinese medicine.
Treatments include massages, aromatherapy, algae baths, reiki, acupuncture and auriculotherapy.
The hotel itself offers 24-hour room service, with a choice of two restaurants, Es Fum and S'Aigua (specialising in Mediterranean cuisine), and two bars, Es Vent and the Cigar Lounge.
