Palma.The Minister for Finance, Joaquin Garcia, yesterday unveiled his new plans to try and kick start the flagging Balearic economy by introducing more flexible employment rules and regulations.
He said that getting people back into work is going to be one of the keys to reviving the regional economy.
The latest retail sales figures show that consumer confidence is at an all time low with the high street continuing to suffer and the Minister said that once people are back in work, their confidence will recover as will their spending power.
One of the areas he is looking to promote in particular is innovation and make more use of the ParcBit technology park.
