Ash cloud could still close Palma airport

WITH the ash cloud caused by the Icelandic volcano moving eastwards at lower altitudes, closing airports in the Mediterranean area - from the mainland of Spain as far as the Balearics - has not been discounted, the European air traffic control (Eurocontrol) said yesterday.
