SATURDAY was a very special day for the Baggaley family of Genova, when their eldest daughter, Lara, married Lieutenant Nicholas Almond of the Royal Navy.
They celebrated in Somerset in the beautiful rural church in Pylle, with the Navy hymn featuring in their choice of music, and a Guard of Honour as they left the church. Lara, a former pupil of the Baleares International School, also joined the Navy when she left school and this was where she met her husband. She now works in Strode Sixth Form College in Street. Her bridesmaids included two other former BIS pupils, Victoria Samuels and Rebecca Hill, together with her sister, Serena, and Nick's sister, Kayleigh. Her brother, Adam, who is now studying at UWE in Bristol, was one of the ushers. Even the English weather remained fine, as the guests waved the couple off to their honeymoon in Thailand.
