Palma.—The emergency services at Palma airport were put on red alert yesterday morning after the flight was redirected to Palma's Son San Joan airport to make an emergency landing. A spokesperson for Jet2.com said: “Jet2.com flight LS170 from Ibiza to Manchester diverted to Palma as a matter of precaution, following a technical fault indication.

The aircraft landed safely, without incident and we are currently investigating the cause. A replacement aircraft is being sent to Palma as soon as possible and the expected departure to Manchester is 8pm. We are currently providing welfare and assistance to our affected customers and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by this delay.”
