The victim in Soller was a 63-year-old French man who drowned in the sea off En Repic beach just after 11am.
Red Cross coastguard battled to save his life but there was nothing that could have been done to save the swimmer.
In Ibiza, a 65-year-old man, whose nationality and identification has not been released by police, died just before mid-day, again as coastguard and doctors fought to save his life. Elsewhere, a pregnant woman needed assistance in Son Baulo, Santa Margalida, when she got into difficulties while swimming.
The woman was taken to Muro hospital by ambulance, although after a medical check she was given the all clear. The Balearic rescue services have dealt with four drownings in the past two days.
