ES MOLINAR HOLDS ITS HIGH SUMMER STREET FIESTA AND FOAM PARTY

Palma.With high summer holidays in full swing, the neighbourhoods of Palma are holding their own fiesta celebrations.
The district of Molinar had prepared well in advance for its weekend partying, making sure that everyone had something to do. Last Friday evening there were craft fairs and concerts with differing musical rhythms provided by Hugo de Ambrogio, Glasford, Wonderbrass and La Vereda. The very young were thrilled at being able to take part in a foam party organised on the local skateboard track. Popular throughout Majorca, such a party entails the juniors being showered in foam generated by a giant machine.

Whilst the young were cooling down, the seniors meanwhile warming up for the traditional verbena, or outdoor party to which the whole neighbourhood is invited. Proceedings were livened by street theatre group Londi & Company followed by popular folk and ballroom dancing.
