Police crackdown on prostitution on the Playa de Palma

STAFF REPORTER NATIONAL and Local Police have been joining forces to root out the practice of street prostitution along the Playa de Palma. Operations earlier this week have resulted in the identification of more than 70 women, and between Monday and Wednesday alone, more than 30 mostly Nigerian women were singled out. Working in teams, the National Police combed the esplanade running between beach stations 1 up until 12 and their colleagues in the Local Police searched in the opposite direction. All the women stopped who had no residents' papers will be expelled from the country.
