A SHOT was fired during a raid on a bakery in Inca, in which the attacker got away with just 130 euros.
The raid took place at about 10.30am in the Fornd'es Teatre.
A man entered, took out a gun and threatened the shop assistant, who was alone at the time.
There was a shot, which hit the floor and later proved to be a blank, and it is not known if it was fired accidentally or on purpose.
The assistant suffered an attack of nerves and the thief helped himself to the takings, before running off.
The shop's owner said that the Local Police and Guardia Civil arrived almost immediately. A helicopter flew over the area while police on foot searched for the man.
The assistant was not hurt and was able to give a description of the man..
