Majorca Day celebrations include the opening of “Raixa” country estate to the public

MAJORCA Day celebrations starting tomorrow are to include the opening of the emblematic Raixa country estate to the public, said the Council of Majorca yesterday.

Announcing its programme of musical, cultural and sporting events which will last until 20th September, the Council said that the property which has been declared a cultural heritage item will open its doors on 5th September and can be visited every weekend until the end of 2009. Visitors can explore the history of Raixa's. gardens on web site www.raixa.cat and a guide is available in English, Spanish, German and Catalan.

Festivities for Majorca day will begin tomorrow with the award of Council of Majorca prizes.
