MANACOR
TWO people needed treatment for smoke inhalation as a result of a blaze which broke out in a flat in Manacor yesterday afternoon, Emergency Services reported.

Although the condition of neither of the victims was thought to be life-threatening, they required attention by paramedics who had been called to the property in Calle Puis XII.

The Majorcan Fire Service had been alerted to the fire at around 3.40pm and within an hour, fire officers from stations in both Manacor and Felanitx had managed to control the blaze.

A spokesman for the Fire Service said that the causes of the fire were as yet unknown, but investigations were ongoing.
