NEWSDESK TRIBUTES were paid yesterday to a popular DJ who was found hanged at a cemetery while his parents were on holiday here in Majorca. The body of Ian Dungey, of Pwllmelin Road, Fairwater, Cardiff, was spotted by a member of the public at St Woolos Cemetery, Newport, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 30-year-old has been described as one of the capital city's most talented music-makers on the nightclub scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and his grieving family are coming to terms with the tragedy.
Parents Malcolm and Margaret were midway through a holiday in Majorca when they were told of the news, and immediately returned home.
Mr Dungey said the family had no answers to what happened but said his son lived for music. “Ian built up a library of about 25'000 CDs and records,” said Mr Dungey, a self-employed neon glass blower. “Being a DJ wasn't a job to Ian, it was a passion and he probably would have been glad to do it for nothing. “He was always playing music in the house. Ian acted as a warm-up set to some of the biggest and best-known DJs in the world. “We're still coming to terms with everything.” Ten years ago Ian joined the picture department at The Western Mail and Echo, now Media Wales, on a youth opportunities scheme and swiftly earned two promotions before moving on, working at the National Assembly offices in Cardiff Bay.
