BULLETIN columnist Anna Nicholas launched her new book , Strictly Off the Record, in London yesterday with a number of Guinness Book of Records stars on hand for the launch. Anna worked at The Guinness Book of Records in the eighties and early nineties juggling the role of PR manager with record adjudicator. Strictly Off the Record is a humorous memoir of her time working closely with the book's founder, Norris McWhirter, CBE, in the UK and overseas.

When Anna left Guinness Publishing she and Norris remained lifelong friends. He even gave her away on her wedding day! Following Norris's untimely death in 2004, a memorial was held in his honour at St Martin in the Fields in Trafalgar Square and Anna gave an address.

Many of Norris's friends suggested she write a book about their fun and crazy experiences together at Guinness and finally she has done just that. Anna hopes it will be a fitting tribute to a truly great man who brought much happiness to so many, changing the lives of thousands of people around the world as they achieved their dreams.
