Balearic study reveals holiday drug taking linked to violent behaviour

A new study shows that high levels of drug and alcohol consumption are behind the growth in violence among young British, German and Spanish tourists.
The findings come at the end of a summer which has again been dogged by problems with young British holiday makers on both Majorca and Ibiza.
In Magalluf, there are growing calls for tougher action to be taken by the local authority after a Summer of drug and alcohol-related incidents and in Ibiza, even the British government has recently expressed its concern about what its subjects are getting up to while on holiday.
