Dining out cutbacks boost fast food sales

THE credit crunch is biting and one of the ways people are making ends meet, including those living on Majorca, is to make major cutbacks in leisure spending and eating out.

Restaurants and bars are feeling the pinch but there is one food and beverage sector that is not only unaffected by the tightening of purse strings but is even faring better as a result - Italian-style pizzerias and fast food outlets are enjoying a golden age in the eye of the storm.
