PALMA'S Real Club Nautico website, www.realclubnauticopalma.com, received 78'838 hits during August, a record number which makes it one of the most visited Spanish nautical sites, according to Club sources. The average stay by people accessing the website was more than five minutes. A lot of people accessed the website by typing the name of the page directly into their machine. The group of words most used to locate the web page via search engines was, in 18.75 percent of cases, real club nautico de palma (the complete official name of the club). A great many of the surfers, from up to 28 countries, accessed the page via the Google search engine.
At the same time, the Copa del Rey Trofeo Agua Brava-Camper website, under the name of www.copadelrey.com and linked to the Real Club Nautico's website, received 40'710 hits in just one week. In this case, the average stay period was nine and a half minutes. The number of high resolution photos downloaded was 14'833. The Real Club Nautico also manages other websites related to its activities. This was the case during the City of Palma regatta which, for the first time, had its own website.
