Majorca boat team celebrates African success

PALMA
THE success of an expedition aimed at drawing attention to the problems of malaria in Africa will be celebrated on Sunday.
Operation Zambezi, headed by Majorca-based yacht chandler Andy Leemann, travelled through 3000 kilometres of uncharted waters on board a rib dinghy along one of the world's most treacherous rivers.

The adventure was captured by an international film crew and shown on BBC World. Andy and his team, including partner Helge Bendl, will be present when the film is repeated at a celebration staged at Kariba Lounge Bar, Portals Nous, on Sunday at 5 pm.
