GRAN CANARIA
THE holiday market in Spain faces a difficult 15 months, a leading UK business expert warned travel agents yesterday.
The industry should not expect too many calls from customers who are clawing back on all forms of expenditure, said Mark Pragnall, chief executive of the Centre for Economics and Business Research.

It faces at least a year of complete stagnation, Mr Pragnall told delegates at the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) conference in Gran Canaria.

The black prediction claimed the industry would “go nowhere” for 15 moths and UK commerce would see “significant” business failure over the next three years.
