PALMA
MONIQUE Tennant returned to Majorca yesterday to pick up the hunt for her missing sister Jacqueline who was last heard of at midday on October 9, 2007, while she was hiking on the island.

Since then no trace of Jacqueline, who had spent the summer working for a tour operator in Can Picafort, in the north of the island, has been found but Monique has vowed to never give up on her sister. The two were due to have flown to Jamaica together the week after Jacqueline went missing to see their father. He has since passed away and never knew what had happened to his daughter on the island.

Yesterday, Monique met Guardia Civil chiefs in charge of the investigation for an update, spoke to the Inca judge handling the case and conducted a series of local radio and TV interviews. “Until I know one way or another what happened to my sister, I'm never going to give up on her. “I want to keep the search fresh in people's minds. I know it's been two years but there's still the chance that someone will suddenly remember something that could help the search,” Monique said. “It's been a tough and emotional period for the whole family. “We all miss Jacqueline very much and until we know what happened we will never have closure,” she said.
