Flight prices pushed up by the recession

Flight prices between Majorca and the Spanish peninsula have increased by almost 30 percent since last year, development ministers confirmed yesterday.

Palma.—This increase in price was noticed on the cheapest fares and mainly on routes between Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza  and Madrid and Barcelona. The decrease in domestic passengers and flights last year led the Spanish consumer association to ask for a full review of flight schedules and prices to establish the cause of the problem.
