MINORCA
PEN-PALS who met after World War Two celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with a holiday in Minorca.
Joan Frosdick, aged 83, first received a letter from future husband Edward, while she worked as a filing clerk in Blackheath, south west London, during 1946.

After receiving a photograph of Mr Frosdick, Joan continued to write to him for a year before they eventually married in 1948.
During their early years of married life, Mr Frosdick, aged 82, continued his service with the military. He worked as a Navy telegraphist during the Allied occupation of Germany.
