Seven-year-old rushed to hospital after Palma accident

A seven-year-old Bulgarian was rushed to hospital in Palma yesterday after having apparently run out from between two parked cars into the path of a motorcycle in Son Gotleu.

The accident happened just before midday and two teams of paramedics rushed to the scene where the child was stablised before being taken to accident and emergency.

The rider of the motorcycle was unable to react quickly enough to avoid the young Bulgarian who was thrown some three metres down the road by the force of the impact.

The child was last night being treated for head injuries, multiple bruising and burns caused by the tarmac.
