Palma.—Teacher unions in the Balearics yesterday decided to join the general strike in the education system on 24 October, as a sign of protest against the new educational law approved by the government this week.
The new statute is intended to tackle the premature drop out of students from Spanish schools but according to the Unions it is “regressive and ambiguous”.
