Hilton group may run Convention Centre

Palma’s Hotel and Convention Centre may have the Hilton brand on it, should the bid by Investec group be approved, the city council sources  announced yesterday.

Palma.—Investec Holdings Group, a Portocristo based company submitted a formal proposal early this month to lease   the convention centre but there were fears that the  lack of activity by the group managed by Liebert Gert Uwe could become a problem since the Congress centre board was adamant it would only lease the complex to a group with recognised experience in this type of ventures.
