A GERMAN resident who for fifteen days went cross-country running past a section of privately owned land in Algaida, came across a horse which had been left there in semi-abandoned and squalid conditions. The woman claimed that the horse had not been given food in five days. Representatives of ADDA (Association for the Defence of Animal Rights) has taken out legal proceedings through the regional ministry of Agriculture to force the owner to hand over the horse to the society for a “period of recuperation”. The animal was visited by a vet to check its condition.
