There was more good news yesterday, not only has Spain clawed its way out of recession, an unusually strong and extended Summer tourist season helped push down Spain’s sky-high jobless rate again in the third quarter, marking the first time since 2006 that unemployment has fallen for two quarters consecutively and the Balearics was the biggest winner. The National Statistics Institute published the third quarter active population figures yesterday and they showed that during the third quarter, the number of people out of work in the Balearics fell by 25,100.
