THE Spanish Government is to provide funds for the conservation and rehabilitation of the cultural and natural features of the emblematic estate Raixa in Bunyola. The Government yesterday approved a supplement of 2.1 million euros to the National Parks Budget, an autonomous organisation which is part of the Spanish Ministry for the Environment, for the work. The estate is owned jointly by the central ministry of the environment and the Council of Majorca.
According to Government sources, the supplement will be used to provide the necessary resources in keeping with the collaboration agreement signed on February 22 2003 between the National Parks Foundation and the autonomous National Parks Organisation for the conservation of this estate, which has been featured in films such as Agatha Christie's Evil Under the Sun.
