PALMA
FLAGSHIP Cunard liner Queen Victoria is scheduled to make six stops in Palma next summer.
The cruise ship, which was officially launched by the Duchess of Cornwall last winter, will make its first in a series of visits to Palma in April. She will sail into the city at regular intervals during the summer before making her final Majorca port of call in early November.
The vessel's arrival in Palma will be a major boost to the city's reputation as a major Mediterranean cruise destination.
The 90'000 tonne queen of the seas is a floating five star hotel. Smaller than her sister ship, the 150'000 tonne Queen Mary but larger than the 70'000 QE 2, the Queen Victoria will be calling in at Palma during a summer programme of Mediterranean cruises.
