Palma.—Today is the last day to take part in the Balearic Food Bank campaign “Operation Kilo”, that will see 20 local supermarkets donate food products to underprivileged local families.
The bank said this week they will need between 600 and 900 volunteers to help organise and deliver this massive project, a project that extends beyond the Balearics. All over Spain supermarket chains are hoping to collect 10 million kilos of food products to be donated to different social care associations, which will then proceed to distribute them to those who need it the most.
