The old Port Authority headquarters by Palma cathedral will be converted into a luxury hotel, the new Port Authority president announced yesterday. The initial plan was to turn the building into a Maritime museum but that option is not seen as viable. "The place is magnificent. It has everything to be turned into a luxury place and it could bring important revenue to the Balearic ports. There are plenty of other places by the sea to open a museum" the new president Alberto Pons said.
