WORKS on the Son Servera bypass began yesterday and are expected to be complete by the start of 2011.
Financed by Central Government to the tune of 13 million euros, the bypass will be 2.5 km long and 2 metres wide. It will run past the eastern side of the town between the train line and Puig de Son Corb, finally linking up with the Ca s'Hereu roundabout. Council of Majorca President Francina Armengol took part in the official ceremony signalling the start of the works.
