THE Ministry for Health and Consumer Affairs has received 2'000 of the 40'000 flu vaccines which it is waiting for in order to complete its flu campaign on the islands. This flu campaign has been extended until 15 December, so that all “at risk” residents can get their flu jabs.
The aim of the government is to vaccinate 65 percent of the population who are at most risk from flu, such as the eldery and ill. Currently 120'000 people have been given their jabs on the islands, 99'000 in Majorca, 13'000 in Ibiza and Formentera and 8'000 in Minorca.
