ELEVEN companies from the Balearics are showing just what they are made of in China today, as part of commercial European visit to the city of Sichuan. The aim of the trade delegation which includes some 400 companies from EU countries, is to establish a network of business exchange. The commercial congress goes under the name of UE-China Partenariat 2006 and has been organised by Chinese authorities in collaboration with the Balearic European Centre. Among the companies from the Islands is Karta which has specialised over more than 30 years in supplying products for the hostelry industry. Another famous Balearic face in Sichuan today will be the architectural and engineering company THR, which has a branch in Barcelona as well as in Palma. Thirty-nine companies from Spain as a whole are participating.
