Palma.—We had been warned and the Palma Met Office were spot on....snow fell in Majorca yesterday bringing to an end the unexpectedly good Winter weater.
Acold front moved in from the Atlantic bringing freezing temperatures, rain and high winds. The emergency services remained on full alert yesterday and the Met Office says that the cold weather will continue into the weekend.
October and the first part of November has gone down as one of the warmest on record. The Guardia Civil traffic department warned motorists to drive with great care because of the freezing conditions in some parts of the island.
