A total of 65 Norwegian travel agents and tour operators have attended a workshop organised by the Balearic Institute for Tourism (Ibatur) in Oslo.
The objective was to promote Balearic tourism in this Scandinavian country. Among those present were the director general of Tourist Promotion, Eduardo Gamero, representatives from the Tourism Promotion Boards of Majorca and Ibiza, the Minorcan Tourism Foundation, Imtur and 30 companies from the Balearic tourism sector. The presentation consisted of a workshop where the Norwegian travel agents and tour operators could experience Balearic tourism at first hand through contact with the Balearic tourism companies taking part. After this, there was a presentation by Gamero, who highlighted the potential of the Norwegian market for the Balearics and the necessity for promotional efforts to encourage a greater number of Norwegian tourists to visit the islands.
