THERE was a fall in new car registrations in the Balearic Islands in November.
The number of new registrations in the Balearic Islands in November was the lowest in the country. There was a fall of 18.76 percent (2'677 registrations), as opposed to a rise in Asturias of 12.32 percent (2'307 registrations). The independent markets, especially in Madrid, have been the principal cause of the fall in sales of cars in November. According to data from the associations of manufacturers Anfac, the dealership Faconauto and dealers Ganvam, last month the car sales market experienced a fall of 4.02 percent, registering only 119'385 cars. The fall in Madrid was 10.26 percent, with 25'922 registrations instead of 20'407. Andalucia had a rise of 0.23 percent with 18'863 registrations, while Valencia experienced a drop of 5.36 percent with 12'104 registrations.
