THE State Attorney General, Cándido Conde-Pumpido, yesterday guaranteed Balearic leader Jaume Matas, that there is no political use being made of the Andratx planning scandal. Matas confirmed this yesterday after his meeting with Conde-Pumpido, who also confirmed that the Balearic Socialist Party had no information about any possible new cases that the Balearic government did not have. Matas said that Andratx was an isolated case and in his opinion affected a person with name and surnames, and not the Balearic administration.
He also congratulated the anti-corruption prosecuters in the Balearics, and said that his government was at their disposal, to prevent similar scandals in other municipalities.
Andratx is not Marbella and there is no need to go into comparisons which would be unfair, he said, adding that the judges had been quick to take action.
