A mass of cold air is moving across the Balearics, bringing with it a drop in temperatures.
An Atlantic front is penetratiing the Peninsula and could bring rain in the form of scattered showers to the Balearics, where the temperatures will start to go down today and tomorrow. There will be low pressures over the Balearics on Wednesday and Thursday, with cloudy or very cloudy skies.
The drop in temperatures will become more marked, and there will be strong north winds in the north of the islands, according to the long-range forecast. Over the New Year, the low pressures will continue over the Mediterranean area, bringing more cold air to the Balearics, particularly on Friday and Saturday, when there will also be a possibility of rain. The north winds will continue and there is a possibility of snow in the mountains.
Chilly start to the New Year is predicted
