Palma.—The Balearics is one of the regions of Spain which has signed up to a new safety campaign which the Director General for Traffic is about to launch.
The emphasis of the campaign rests with the local councils, so the campaign will be mounted by the Local Police with support from the Guardia Civil, and the primary concern this year is to enforce the use of helmets for motorcyclists and safety belts for drivers and passengers.
