Palma.—It is expected to be the British society event of the year and Majorca has been selected as the venue, according to the magazine Vanity Fair.
James Blunt, a former Captain in the Life Guards turned music sensation, will marry his girlfriend SofiaWellesley, grand-daughter of the Duke of Wellington after getting engaged over Christmas. The wedding, according to the magazine, will take place at the Wellesley family home on the island, a beautiful country mansion between Campanet and Pollensa.
The guest list is expected to read a like a Who´s Who of British society and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Sir Elton and Pippa Middleton are all expected to attend. Initially, there was speculation that the big event would take place at the Duke´s stately home in Hampshire. But it appears that the Ibiza-based groom, has other ideas and has selected Majorca.
