Palma.—A couple yesterday accepted a total sentence of 22 years, twelve-and-a-half years for the mother and ten for her partner, for the death of her eight-year-old daughter Ainhoa on 19 July, 2011.
Yesterday, the defence and the prosecution reached a deal which the couple accepted along with the charge of having unwittingly killed the victim.
They also have to pay the biological father of Ainhoa, who died as a result of being brutally beaten, 500,000 euros in compensation.
