Palma.—The Balearic environmental group GOB said yesterday that the future of the La Trapa nature reserve which was severely damaged by last Summer’s massive forest fire in the area is looking healthy thanks to the help and support of some 4,000 volunteers and the backing of a host of local organisations and businesses.
The forest fire, the worst in Majorca’s history, devastated some 2,300 hectares of the Tramuntana mountain range and 40 percent of the La Trapa reserve.
