Palma.—The President of the Majorcan Hotel Federation, Inmaculada Benito, said yesterday that the sector is expecting a revival in the domestic market over  the Easter holidays.
“The current forecasts are not bad with regards to the national market and we are starting to see an improvement in consumer confidence with regards to holidays,” she said yesterday.
“What is more, Easter is later than usual this year so the weather should be much better here in the Balearics than in other parts of the country,” she added.
Benito also said that the number of Balearic residents spending short breaks at local hotels is rapidly increasing and over Easter, between ten and 15 percent of   hotel guests are going to be local residents.
