Law against street artists revoked, “balconing” not hotels’s fault

Palma.—A civil law phohibiting street artits from performing in the streets of  Palma  has been revoked yesterday by the local government. Nonetheless spaces to perform will be regulated so there is no major concentration of artists in the same area to avoid disruption to the daily life of citizens and normal running of businesses. Performing between 2pm and 5pm is also still forbidden except for mime artists. The council also announced that fining prostitues for being too close to schools and childrens’ areas will stop now, but not for their clients. “Balconing” is also now the  responsability of those who do it, not hotels.
