Palma.—The City of Palma has begun a three-month trial of the Nissan LEAF, as part of an ongoing project to increase electric vehicle uptake in Majorca.
Palma already has incentives in place for electric vehicle owners, including a 75% road tax discount, exemption from parking fees within the city and a growing network of charging points located in municipal car parks.
The LEAF will be used as a pool car, giving the Council’s staff first-hand experience of using the technology as part of the fleet.
