Palma.—Airport staff who are members of the CCOO general workers’ commission, yesterday staged a one hour demonstration at Palma airport in protest over plans by the government and the airport authority AENA, to privatise the country’s airports.
Simultaneous protests were staged at the newly named Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, Alicante, Malaga, Las Palmas and Tenerife North airports.
Under the slogan “the airports belong to you, save them” the CCOO embarked on a wave of protests which will be staged throughout the summer.
