Vilafranca Council is determined to attract consistent quality rural tourism to the area and has come up with a series of propositions.

Vilafranca.—In order to make the most of  its natural environment, beautiful landscapes, gastronomic richness and handicraft products, the council has approved a motion  to use upcoming events in 2014 and 2015 to maximise the region’s potential.
The main idea behind the plan is to boost the image of the local product.
Promoting the best Vilafranca has to offer in the upcoming Fira del Melo in September is already being prepared.
The same will happen in Fira de Teatre Infantil and Juvenil in October and during a tapas route in July.
As a rural municipality, Vilafranca is known to offer visitors an alternative to the main beaches and sun destinations.
