Munar, who is currently serving a five-and-a-half year term in Palma prison for corruption, she was also sentenced to a further six years after having been found guilty of a number of counts of corruption in the Can Domenge case. This case centred on the sale of a plot of land for development to a company offering half of what its competitor, which pressed the charges which sparked the investigation, was in exchange for alleged bribes.
Munar was found guilty in July of 2012 of fraud, giving away confidential information and bribery.
Yesterday her sentence was upheld by the High Court in Madrid.
