“The whole Balearic community is against oil prospecting”

Palma.—The  Parliamentary spokesperson  for the Partido Popular (PP)  yesterday underlined the fact that “the whole Balearic community is against oil prospecting” in local waters.
For that reason, Mabel Cabrer dismissed Mes’s party petition to call a referendum on the subject saying it would be a waste of time.
“There is a general consensus on the subject. So what must be done now is  work  to avoid that the permits that would allow this plan to go through are stopped. It’s important to reach a decision on this matter as soon as possible.”
